Dr. Lanza received his Medical Degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry, Rochester, New York. Dr. Lanza completed a General Surgery Internship at Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, New York, and his Otolaryngology Residency training at Long Island College Hospital, Brooklyn, New York.

Dr. Lanza is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of The American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS). He has served as the Alternate Advisor to the RUC and selected by the AAO-HNS to be the alternate member to the Relative Value Update Committee (RUC) of the American Medical Association.

Dr. Lanza has served on the following National Committees of the AAO-HNS: Medical Device & Drug Committee, Physician Policy & Payment Committee. He is a member of the American Rhinologic Society, as well as a member in good standing of the Florida Medical Association and American Medical Association and has served as Chairman of the CPT / RVU Committee. Dr. Lanza also serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Florida State University College of Medicine at the Fort Pierce Regional Campus. He has served as the President of the Florida Society of Otolaryngology, and he is currently on the executive council of the Florida Society of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery (FSOHNS).

Dr. Lanza has been serving the Treasure Coast since 1994. He is past Chief of Staff at St. Lucie Medical Center and Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute and former Board of Trustee at St. Lucie Medical Center. Dr. Lanza has served on the Surgical Quality Committee at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute. Dr. Lanza was the recipient of the St. Lucie Medical Center's Legacy Award in 2009.

Dr. Lanza has served as a clinical instructor with the Palm Beach Centre of Graduate Medical Education (PBCGME) through St Lucie Medical Center’s Family Practice Clinical Internship Program. He was featured in the article “Balloon Sinuplasty™ for Sinusitis” in the Florida HealthCare News.

Dr. Lanza has been selected to be a Primary Investigator on numerous Clinical Research Trials in areas such as throat cancer, and Acute or Chronic Sinusitis. Dr. Lanza maintains privileges at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute, Raulerson Hospital and St. Lucie Medical Center. He is also affiliated with several free-standing surgery centers. He sees patients in our Port St. Lucie, Fort Pierce and Okeechobee offices.
