Chronic Tympanic Membrane Perforation (CTMP)

  • astellas logoCandidates must be between 18-65 years of age
  • Must have persistent tympanic membrane for longer than 3 months
  • Cannot have presence of tympanosclerosis adjacent to the perforation
  • Candidates will be excluded if previous live tissue repair was attempted
  • Exclusionary is active otorrhea, otitis externa, dermatitis, Eustachian tube dysfunction, or history of cholesteatoma
    • Length: 20 weeks
    • Number of visits: 6
    • Compensation for time and travel
